Laptops / Notebooks come in different sizes from 7" to 18". Normally when you buy laptop, the laptop manual tells you the screen size. Sometimes you might not know the size, and wonder how to measure your laptop for exact screen size.
Manufacturers use a standard way. The screens are measured diagonally. So its very easy to for you to measure any screen size.
Here is what to do;
Start measuring from the bottom right hand corner. Measure the distance to the top left hand corner. Do not measure the plastic surrounding the LCD. Only measure the LCD area.
Sometimes manufacturers use more plastic to save cost as more LCD area on the screen cost more.
